PP underground cable conduit SHV

Compared to overhead lines, the proportion of underground cabling is continuously increasing. Particularly in the high-voltage range (220 kV to 380 kV), robust system solutions are required, as the conduit systems – in addition to the well-known static loads – must also withstand high temperatures. Due to peak network loads, operating temperatures exceeding 70 degrees Celsius can easily be reached. Because of insufficient temperature resistance, commercially available protective conduit systems made of HDPE or PVC-U cannot be safely operated at these temperatures over extended periods. To meet these demanding requirements, we have developed the SHV underground cabling program using specially designed, long-term temperature-resistant materials. These conduits come pre-fitted with a Smooth Slide "SSL" inner surface. This extremely smooth inner surface significantly facilitates the insertion of cables or other conduits compared to conventional conduit systems. The frictional forces generated during insertion are effectively reduced by this special "System Schöngen" manufacturing technology. The clear advantages: time savings and the prevention of potential cable damage. The SHV pipe program offers a diverse selection of special connection technologies, whether smooth, push-fit or welded. Even under extreme installation conditions, the SHV underground cable duct system is the first choice for implementing the energy transition, for both open and trenchless construction methods. (
