Silicone Coated Fiberglass EV Fire Blanket

Safeprotex Silicone-coated fiberglass fire blanket is an economical solution specifically designed to control electric vehicle (EV) fires in short-duration emergencies. With a continuous temperature resistance of 550°C (1022°F), the silicone coating enhances silicone coated fire blanket’s performance under 260°C (500°F) short-term thermal shock conditions. This combination of materials provides flexibility, abrasion resistance, water resistance, and chemical resistance, making it suitable for multifunctional environments. While the silicone coated fire blanket is not intended for prolonged exposure to the extreme heat of EV battery fires, which can reach 1000°C (1832°F) and occasionally exceed 1200°C (2192°F) in localized areas, it offers 5–10 minutes of short-term protection. This critical window allows for initial containment of flames and mitigation of early-stage fire spread. It is particularly suited for small-scale fires caused by sparks, splashes, or localized overheating, making it a practical choice for emergency preparedness in logistics warehouses or medium-sized fleet operations. Safeprotex offers standard sizes ranging from 19.8 ft to 32.8 ft, while fully customized sizes and designs are also available to meet specific operational needs. Safeprotex EV fire blankets are certified to FM 4950 and NFPA 701 standards, ensuring compliance with international fire safety requirements.
