The HF-30S heat flux sensor from EKO Instruments is an extra large-area heat flux sensor designed to measure average heat flux over broad surfaces with high reliability. With its 30 × 30 cm² sensing area, thin 0.5 mm profile, high sensitivity, and low thermal resistance, the HF-30S is ideal when point measurements are not enough and a representative average across a larger measurement area is needed. It can be installed on surfaces, between insulation layers, and in HFM Apparatus, making it a versatile choice for building physics, thermal conductivity testing, heat transfer studies, and other applications where accurate large-area heat flow measurement is essential. The key advantage of the HF-30S is its ability to help users find an average heat flux over a large surface, reducing the influence of local hot spots, uneven material behavior, and thermal bridges. This makes it especially valuable for evaluating insulation performance, comparing materials, and analyzing heat transfer under controlled conditions. With a high sensitivity of 100 µV/W/m², a response time of 28 seconds, and an operating temperature range of -20 to 120 °C, the HF-30S provides performance for laboratory, research, and engineering environments that require stable and representative surface, embedded, and multi-layered heat flux measurement. Key Features: High Sensitivity Thin body & Extra-Large area Low thermal resistance Short Response Time
