The utility of the mobile crown tower for illuminating large areas such as road junctions, squares, and parking lots is now universally recognized. It represents the optimal solution from both a lighting, environmental, and maintenance perspective. The mobile crown light tower has assumed an irreplaceable role in the design of modern lighting systems for large areas, meeting the approval of designers who consider the ever-increasing difficulty of finding maintenance personnel willing to climb to considerable heights. The ability to illuminate large areas with a few high light sources, without significant maintenance costs, makes the mobile crown tower particularly advantageous for the overall system cost. Our range, with heights from 20 to 50 meters, is designed with standard elements to ensure the highest levels of safety and is divided into various solutions that can be enhanced with customized elements for street furniture. Mobile crown light towers, manufactured under ISO9001 certified quality control and by an authorized processing center according to Ministerial Decree 14/01/08, consisting of: Single-tubular shaft with polygonal cross-section in multiple sections with forced overlapping connection, obtained by cold forming trapezoidal sheets of S355JO EN 10025 steel and subsequent longitudinal welding performed with an approved automatic MAG process and welding quality control according to EN ISO 3834. Prepared for anchoring to the base by driving into the foundation block, or with a base plate and tie rods, and equipped at the base with a passage for the power cable, an earth connection and a suitably reinforced door for access to the internal equipment. At the top it is equipped with a flange for fixing the towing head. Dimensional tolerances UNI EN 40/2 - UNI EN 10051. Corrosion protection by hot-dip galvanizing, obtained with the following cycle: greasing; pickling; Washing; Fluxing; Preheating; Galvanizing in molten zinc at 440-450 degrees Celsius, with a minimum zinc content in the galvanizing bath of ³ 98.5%. Coating obtained in compliance with UNI EN ISO 1461 with minimum thicknesses of 55 microns and average thicknesses of 70 microns. The movement system, compliant with current safety regulations, consists of a mobile crown, where the floodlights are anchored, supported by three cables led to the towing head at the top of the pole; the mobile crown, sliding along the shaft, allows the floodlights to be raised to a suitable height for maintenance from the ground. The movement, transmitted to the cables, is controlled by an electric hoist attached to the base of the pole. The towing head consists of a three-arm structure for the lifting ropes and electric cable; it is made of hot-dip galvanized steel and is designed for attachment to the stem using a special flange and bolts. The arms are fully enclosed to ensure protection of the moving parts, consisting of polyamide 6.6 pulleys mounted on self-lubricating bushings and stainless steel pins. An anti-derailment system is provided for the ropes and electric cables. The rope arms are equipped with a system for attaching and centering the moving crown. The towing head is supplied fully assembled and complete with polyethylene-coated galvanized steel lifting ropes (sized with a minimum safety factor of 6) and the electric cable for powering the projectors. The lifting ropes and power cable are fixed at one end to a connecting cylinder, while the other end is passed over the corresponding arms and then anchored to the moving crown. The mobile crown is made of hot-dip galvanized steel profiles and consists of two concentric rings connected by three 120° ribs; each rib supports an elastic attachment system consisting of stainless steel pins and double spring steel plates; this allows the crown to be securely attached to the pole top and completely relieves the cables of any load during normal tower operation. An anti-rotation system is provided to prevent the crown from moving horizontally during handling. The junction box, floodlights, and their ballasts will be mounted on special hot-dip galvanized steel brackets designed for attachment to the mobile crown. The electrical system, appropriate for the power to be installed, consists of an interlocked socket at the base of the shaft, where the power line is to be routed, and a self-supporting, torsion-resistant cable with a CEE plug at one end, which is then connected to the junction box on the mobile crown at the other end (this ensures all electrical contacts are permanent and there are no sliding or bayonet contacts). The junction box, complete with pre-wired terminal block, is equipped with a watertight socket designed for the earth ignition test using a special extension with EEC plug. The electrical circuit is constructed using only “CE” marked components and compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 73/23 EEC - 93/68 EEC and the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 89/336 - 92/31 EEC - 93/68 EEC. Compliance with the Machinery Directive. An electric hoist, attached to the base of the tower, moves the crown when necessary. It is operated by the operator from a safe distance via a low-voltage control panel. The electric motor, connected and powered by the interlocked socket near the door, transmits motion to the hoist chain and then to the suspension cables of the mobile crown, allowing the raising and lowering of the floodlights mounted on it. The motor is powered by an electric cable with a CEE plug connected to the interlocked socket near the door. The supply voltage is 380V three-phase. The hoist chain is connected to a connecting cylinder, transmitting motion directly to the cables and therefore to the mobile crown. A limit switch is mounted inside the base of the pole, near the door, which controls the engagement and release of the mobile crown. The hoist is equipped with a brake that activates in the event of a power failure during movement, immediately stopping the motor and thus halting the descent of the mobile crown. The hoist can be supplied detached and mounted on a trolley with wheels suitable for on-site handling, which can be attached to the base of the tower when necessary. In this case, a single hoist will suffice to move multiple towers with the same performance. Alternatively, the hoist can be mounted permanently inside the tower. This solution is particularly suitable for single towers, or when access to the installation area is particularly difficult with a trolley-mounted unit. All CE-compliant steel structural components are manufactured according to EN 1090 in execution class ECX2, certified by a third-party body in accordance with European Directive UE 305/2011. The mobile crown towers are CE marked in accordance with current legislation (Presidential Decree 459/06 89/392/EEC, 91/368/EEC; 93/44/EEC; 93/68/EEC). The marking, on each individual pole, includes: tower version; model; serial number; and year of construction. Optional exterior painting, color chosen from our color chart, wrinkled effect, achieved with a thermosetting powder coating process, including: cleaning of any galvanizing residue; smoothing the surfaces with light mechanical action; cleaning the surfaces to remove oil and general dirt and create a good adhesion base; electrostatic spraying of polyester powder suitable for hot-dip galvanized surfaces intended for exterior use, up to a thickness of 60-80 microns; polymerization in an oven at a constant temperature of approximately 200°C for 40-50 minutes; packaging of each post individually, wrapped in 100% non-woven polyester fabric (no bubble wrap) to prevent damage to the paint during handling, transportation, and storage. The characteristics of the coating obtained will be: average thickness 60 microns, resistance to ISO2409 cross-hatching tests, resistance to UNI8901 impact tests. To design the light towers, it is necessary to know the following data: – installation location – configuration of the surrounding landscape or terrain roughness category – height of the light point – number, type, dimensions and weight of the projectors to be mounted – arrangement of the projectors (single front 180°; distributed around 360°)
