SMART is designed for meteorological, hydrological, and airport stations, and for all outdoor applications. The sensitive component of SMART is a Pt100 platinum resistance thermometer with a response curve compliant with the DIN 43760 Class 1/3 standard and a 4-wire connection. The sensor body is made of high-quality plastic with stainless steel screws. The sensitive element is protected from external radiation by a special non-hygroscopic protective shield made of intrinsically anti-UV plastic. Furthermore, the “S”-shaped section of the shield plates creates natural internal ventilation that allows for the creation of an ideal measurement environment. The sensor can be supplied with a natural output (4 wires), or with standardized electrical outputs in voltage, current, or digital (Modbus or SDI-12). The sensor is supplied complete with power and signal cable (4m).
