The hearth is designed either with a fire or a roller conveying system. For the process, workpieces are moved into the continuous furnace and heated up to a certain temperature. They have a special inlet and outlet. These allow for low heat loss. These measures enable us to ensure effective atmosphere recirculation at low process temperatures. The furnaces can hold a batch weight of several tons per hour.

SCHLAGER drop bottom furnaces are mainly used in the aerospace industry and in the manufacturing process of light metal parts. For charging and discharging a charge, the opening is located on the underside of the furnace. Often the drop bottom furnace is combined with a quenching system. In such cases, this is located underneath the furnace. This combination of both products allows a particularly short time between opening the oven door and quenching the batch.
