Winches
Oil States manufactures a full line of SMATCO™ AHTS winches and Skagit™ mooring systems, bow windlasses, capstans, tuggers, stern rollers, storage winches and sheaves for the marine industry. We design and build specialty winches and handling equipment for our customers’ unique applications. Our products can be powered by diesel, electrical and high- or low-pressure hydraulic power packages. Our winches are designed to provide safe anchor handling, towing and mooring activities to offshore operators working in water depths ranging from a few hundred feet to over 10,000 feet (3,000M) worldwide. Oil States is the leader in designing and manufacturing deepwater mooring systems for offshore drilling vessels, pipelay and derrick barges, and floating production systems.

Cranes
Oil States also provides engineering, design, construction and installation of custom designed cranes and other lifting/handling equipment. Oil States’ Nautilus™ line of marine cranes is respected worldwide for quality, safety and engineering excellence. Nautilus™ marine cranes are in use around the world on all types of fixed and floating structures such as offshore production platforms, TLPs, spars, marine vessels and on dockside mount applications. Nautilus™ marine cranes utilize slewing bearing technology, considered the safest technology in modern crane design, especially for floating facilities. Our crane solutions incorporate the latest hydraulic technology to deliver the highest-quality, slewing-bearing, pedestal-mounted cranes available. Oil States Nautilus™ marine cranes are API 2C monogrammed cranes.

Swift™ Connector
The Oil States Swift™ connector is a heavy-duty, threaded connection that has been in operation worldwide for over 30 years. Offering a gas-tight, metal-to-metal seal specifically for intermediate casing, the 20” and 22” versions have been tested to ISO 13679:2002 cal 1. The Swift connector has been designed to offer a cost-effective solution that can be run by casing crews with an optional anti-rotation design.

Puma™ Connector
Oil States’ Puma™ connector, designed to meet the flush O.D./I.D. needs of operators, offers a threaded, weld-on connector solution for applications where diameter restrictions preclude the use of conventional upset connections. The Puma connector is drivable and reuseable. It exceeds the pipe body yield capacities while using standard pipe grades. Installation and makeup utilize standard casing running equipment without the need for specialist threaded running tools.

Radial Flow Tee
The Oil States Radial Flow Tee (RFT) is a specialized fitting that facilitates passage of pipeline pigs past tee connections where flow bypass often leaves pigs stranded, without restricting product flow. The RFT has an inner sleeve that directs the pig through the main line past the branch. Perforated holes in the sleeve and annular cavity provide a flow area at least equal to the flow area of the branch line, permitting full product flow through the tee during normal operation.

Early Production Riser (EPRS)
Oil States’ Early Production Riser System ( EPRS), offers revenue from subsea wells before subsea production infrastructure is installed. Using our Merlin® connector solution in open water allows floating installations to capture and produce oil and gas safely and economically while the downstream functions are completed, generating faster returns across the project.

Intervention Riser System (IRS)
Oil States’ first high-pressure Merlin® intervention riser was designed and supplied in the 1990’s and is still in operation. With the design evolving, we now have 10K and 15K variants that meet NACE for 10,000-foot applications. They offer superior fatigue resistance and, because the makeup is non-rotational, hard annulus lines can be utilized.

Marine Drilling Riser Systems (MDRS)
The marine riser forms a continuation of the well bore from the top of the blowout preventer stack to the drilling vessel. The subsea well is drilled through the marine riser allowing the mud to circulate back to the mobile drilling unit. In addition to diverter systems, riser joints, telescopic joints and FlexJoint™ connectors, all marine drilling risers contain high-pressure choke and kill lines, booster lines , hydraulic and glycol lines. The Merlin™ Marine Riser System is also available with automated, hands-free makeup which dramatically cuts riser trip time and improves safety on the vessel. Oil States now also offers complete riser systems for subsea mining applications. Oil States provides a cost-effective, reliable, fast deployment with fast makeup, high-performance connection systems and accelerated delivery schedule. We are a proven provider of riser components and now provide complete riser packages.
