Mechanical Tubing for OEMs
Our customers sometimes assume that the ASTM A513 specification is basically the same as ASTM A500, but they are really quite different. ASTM A513 is not used as for building structures, but for ensuring the strength of conveyor systems and consumer items such as lawnmower handles, recreational vehicle parts and more.
Steel Pipe Piles
Atlas Tube pipe piles have a long track record of successful projects throughout North America, supporting projects in both the public and private sectors. Atlas Tube manufactures pipe piling to ASTM A252, ASTM A500 and CSA G40.21 specifications.
Hollow Structural Sections (HSS)
ASTM A500 and A1085 HSS are cold-formed, welded carbon steel structural tubing products that offer excellent compression and torsional resistance. ASTM A500, Grade C is the standard specification used in North America and is readily available from North American HSS producers as well as steel service centers. ASTM A1085 HSS are higher performing and well suited for applications that demand more, such as seismic or bridge applications.
